1-1/2 lbs ground sirloin
1 cup chopped yellow onion
2 cups canned, crushed tomatoes
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup diced potatoes
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ginger  
1 T curry powder
3 dashes salt
3 dashes pepper



Brown ground beef and onions in a large pan until beef reaches an internal temperature of 160° F on a meat thermometer. Do not drain. Add vegetables and spices and stir thoroughly. Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for 25 minutes. Add water, as needed, while cooking for an end dish that is slightly thicker than chili. Serve by itself, over brown rice or couscous, or on bread or rolls.
