Pasta and ground beef are complimented with full-flavored tomatoes in this lighter dinner.
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups chopped tomatoes
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-1/2 cups uncooked bow tie pasta, cooked
2 T sliced fresh basil
3 T grated Parmesan cheese
Brown ground beef with garlic in large nonstick skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink and internal temperature reaches 160° F on a meat thermometer, breaking beef up into 3/4-inch crumbles. Pour off drippings. Stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper; cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add pasta and basil; toss. Sprinkle with cheese.
